My name is Jackie and I live near the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Perhaps it is because the wintertime here is so harsh this breed appeals to me or .... it may simply be they are totally irresistible.
Winter here In North Yorkshire
I've had pets all my life. It started when I was a child with a puppy from the RSPCA. She was due to be put to sleep asnobody wantedher. I begged my parents to let me have her and after an Oscar winning performance with much sobbing theyrelented. Her name wasKim and she quickly became the much adored family pet. After Kim came a variety of other animals including hamsters, guinea-pigs, rabbits, terrapins, tropical fish and of course cats. Most came with sad stories attached which madethem all the more endearing and precious. I did voluntary work for the RSPCA and the Cat Rescue Society, involving fostering and rehoming some very tragic cases. When I retired I decided to do something I'd been wanting to do for long, long time ... breed and show cats. The Siberian breed was an easychoice, my son had one and I was amazed by its wonderful temperament and stunningly good looks . When I began to researchthismysterious breed I was captivated by it's history ..... and thus the decision was made. My first Siberians joined me in 2008. These gorgeous creatures are now my family and my life would be much emptier without them. They are all very loving and likenothingmore than to giveand receive affection. They enjoy being on my lap purring away and snuggling up on cold winter nights. All my cats live in my home and are very spoiled.
My main task in breeding is to establish healthy, stable lines with outstanding breed characteristics and the Native Traditional Siberian's uniqueness of type, temperament and hardiness. I do not breed my cats to multiply and I do not seek to regularly produce pet kittens. My goal is to breed to improve my lines and to produce kittens and cats of exceptional quality.
Life being what it is not all kittens can be show or breeding quality and I will have pet kittens available at times. This does not mean they're not wonderful, exceptionally bred Siberians. Regardless of their show potential my kittens will all be adorable, healthy, happy and well socialised bundles of purring fluff to give many years of affection, joy and amusement to their new devotees. In your search for a kitten just purrrfect for you, please be aware not all breeders are the same. Most reputable breeders have a waiting list for their kittens to be certain they all find loving homes. I have a waiting list for this reason.
